Un-Update

In an attempt to make up for the lack of recent updates, here's a mishmash of comings and goings in our neck of the woods.

A round up of recent Connors Family (and Friends) news and events:

• Swimming lessons continue. Caroline has now mastered the backstroke and flip-turns. Diving should take place this weekend. Okay, an exaggeration. But she is doing swimmingly (hee hee), and seems to show great affinity for the water. Hooray!
• On Saturday, we had a fun visit with recently betrothed JD and Lucy. CEC loved playing with them, and mom and dad got a break and a couple of beers out of the outing.
• Despite the cold, wet weather of last weekend, Mommy had a fantastic first "official" Mother's Day. Complete with surprise flowers from Daddy and daughter, and a full day of doing just what she wanted: Breakfast at the diner down the street, Starbucks, and a trip to the Bethesda Arts Festival (where she also scored a beautiful gift). Perfect Day.
• Caroline's pool of potential suitors is growing by the day! In addition to the recent revelation that Lil' Elbert Morris will in fact be a Lil' Elbert (and not an Elberta or Elbertina), news came yesterday that Baby Roeschlein is also a boy! (Both sets of parents are keeping mum about name choices).

So, with all this activity, is there rest for the weary? Of course not. On tap this weekend:

• An organic wine tasting at Lilit Cafe (the site of many a gelato stop for a pregnant mommy during the dog days last year)
• More swimming
• A trip to the Charles County Fairgrounds for a Family Fun Day to support the Angie Houtz Scholarship Fund and to see some Polsons and Burkhardts
• Help picking up a crib for Lil' Elbert

And at some point, we might try to buy a car.
