Another Week, Another ER

random updates
Last Friday brought another trip to the Emergency Room for the star of our show. For those keeping count, that's 2 ER visits in 7 days.
This trip was different in every way... from hospital location to reason and stay. But we digress... starting from the beginning....
The Sunday after ER visit #1, when everything was great, Daddy had to take a work trip to Florida, and Mommy and CEC were left to fend for ourselves. No problem, right? No problem... at least until Tuesday, when school called Mommy to say that Caroline wasn't "right."
One look at her, and mommy got her to the Dr. who agreed - something wasn't right. But what? Ah... a mystery. He couldn't tell, but told us to hang on... he thought something was on the horizon.
And yeah - he's good. A high fever that night confirmed suspicions. Another trip to the Dr. confirmed strep throat, which led to injections of antibiotic. By Friday, she still hadn't improved much, which led to the aforementioned ER visit to rule out a tonsillar abscess.
No abscess, which meant no surgery (hooray!), but she was still very sick and had to stay at the Hospital on IV antibiotics for 2 days. Not fun for anyone involved, BUT, after a mere 48 hours, she made a full recovery!

let's hope this is the last hospital visit until she goes to meet Sesame! POor thing! Glad she is back to 100%
Poor CEC and mommy and daddy too...this is one "field trip" the doesn't sound like fun at all!
Oh no...poor thing. Glad to hear that all turned out well though. ER and hospital visits are no fun for Caroline OR Mommies!
