Thoughts from a Little Girl, Part 2
Though certainly not only the second time we've thought of writing down Caroline musings, this is only the 2nd installment that I've gotten my act together to actually put virtual pen to (virtual) paper.
Recent funny (at least to her parents) things that have come out of C's cute little mouth:
OH WHAT A NAP
CEC: I had a loonnng nap.
Daddy: Yes, you did.
CEC: What was your favorite part of my nap?
Daddy: I guess my favorite part was reading you stories.
CEC: (looking at him like he is some kind of lunatic) My favorite part was sleeping!
COOL IT
As parents everywhere know, mealtime is full of adventures. The circus involved is sometimes wrought with messes, requests, complaints, conversation, hilarity and impatience. Sometimes all at once. At the Connors', a major issue often centers on how fast we can get food from pot to hungry mouths. And apparently it isn't a good idea to give little ones piping hot food.
So... we sing the "Cool it Down" song (to the tune of New Edition's "Cool it Now". Oh the days when Bobby Brown seemed so cute and normal).
Caroline has taken it a step further, replacing more of the lyrics to fit her understanding of the world.
Actual lyrics:
(Cool it now)
You've got to cool it now
(Ooh, watch out!)
You're gonna lose control...
CEC lyrics:
(Cool it down)
You've got to cool it down
(Ooh, watch out!)
We're gonna use the remote control
Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where we could use a remote control to instantly get food (and anything else) delivered to you? I think she's on to something.
