...Yes Indeed I'm Talkin'...*

Boy, when things change, they change fast.

Our baby girl is quickly rounding the corner into little girldom, as evidenced by a recent independent streak that we undoubtedly should have seen coming. Though not fully convinced that she should eat only grown-up food, CEC has become determined to feed herself. Very messy, a little frustrating, and absolutely hilarious meals ensue.

Check out this weekend's foray into breakfast. The face paint is banana mango - lovely, isn't it?

She also continues to amaze us with her ever expanding vocabulary! In just the past few weeks, the jibberish has started to turn into something even we English speakers can understand:

• Bye (accompanied by enthusiastic waving)
• Hi (accompanied by the same wave!)
• Wow! - or more accurately "Wow wow wowowowowow!"
• Uh oh! (a mommy and daddy favorite. When it doesn't follow throwing food or her sippy cup)
• No no (sure we're going to live to regret this one)
• Up (we're working on "Up please" but so far, just have the "up" part down)

Notice, that there is no "mama" or "daddy" on the list. Harumph. We try, but I think she is holding out on us.

What will this week hold? I can't wait to find out!
