Rub a Dub Dub Dub
Fun in the tub!
Fun in the tub!
Caroline's 8th month brought her first St. Patrick's Day and first Easter, and tons of fun and learning (for all!).
The Connors celebrated Caroline's first Easter with church, playtime, and a fun dinner with the Morrises and the Roeschleins.
The smile is in the eyes - Really, it is!
It was a little harder to get an actual smile out of this Irish lass in the morning than hoped... But with some help from her grandma and her crazy mommy, she showed off her roots in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
In response to the requests of her fans crying for "more!", it is mommy's Quarter Year Resolution to update Caroline's blog more often (note: We know it is officially called "The Connors Family" blog, but who are we kidding?).
"How often?" you ask.
More. That's all I can promise :)
We'll definitely still have monthly recaps, but we'll also try to include some of the daily goings on in the Connors house. After all, there is really never a dull moment.
So, as is necessary with all resolutions, we are starting out strong. Read the below posts for some exciting CEC-related news.
As regular readers have seen, Caroline's first two teeth popped out, suddenly and without much warning (thankfully), way back when she was a mere babe of 4 months. With teething starting that early, mommy thought she would be tearing into a steak with a mouthful by now.
But until a week ago, nothing. And then, all at once - 3 new chompers - just like that!
As much as I thought I'd miss that toothless grin, I've loved seeing every smiley change.
We are working on getting photographic evidence of the newest pearly whites. Coming soon to a blog (okay, this one) near you!
...our Calendar Girl...
Yep - we're singing Neil Sedaka!
Our cousin Becky's wonderful organization, the Brehon Institute, provides services for families that need help in many ways. To raise money and awareness, they held a Baby Calendar Contest - and thanks to her grandma's entry, our little girl is Miss October 2008!
For a preview of her sweet photo, check out their website (click through to October 2008 to see CEC and to get a peek at some other gorgeous faces).
You might recognize the winning picture from a previous post - she was only 2 1/2 months old when she got happily plopped in the pumpkins at the insistance of her mom and Uncle Neal (we knew what we were doing, didn't we Neal?).
She was also invited to be part of the Springtime Tallahassee parade, and mom and dad were invited to a Blue Ribbon Ball to celebrate - if only we could be there!
